We are delighted to share that PhD student Frank Naboulsi, Regional Vice President and General Manager of the Fairmont Nile City in Cairo, has had his research published in the International Journal of Indian Psychology (Volume 14, Issue 2, 2026).

His paper explores the relationship between occupational stress and job satisfaction among women working in Cairo’s hotel sector, offering new insights into workforce wellbeing in one of the region’s most dynamic hospitality markets.

The research finds that occupational stress and job satisfaction are connected, and that this relationship is influenced by the broader cultural and social context in which people work. The study also highlights that experiences of stress differ across roles within hotels, pointing to the value of tailored approaches to employee wellbeing that reflect the realities of different working environments.

With Egypt’s tourism sector continuing to grow, this research offers a timely and practical contribution for organisations looking to support and develop their hotel workforce effectively.
