The International Executive School is proud to announce that our President, Dr Soula Kyriakou, has been awarded the prestigious 2025 CEEMAN Champion Award for “Responsible Management Educator of the Year.”
Presented by the Central and East European Management Development Association (CEEMAN), an international network of over 200 management development institutions across more than 50 countries, this distinguished award recognizes outstanding commitment to quality, innovation, and ethical leadership in management education.
Dr Kyriakou’s leadership at IES reflects a deep commitment to creating inclusive, globally-minded learning environments. Her vision emphasizes learner-centered pedagogy, intercultural competence, and the integration of emerging technologies in business education, preparing students to navigate the complexities of tomorrow’s world with confidence and integrity.
Her unique background enriches this vision. Born to Greek and Lebanese heritage and educated in France, Dr Kyriakou brings a truly global perspective to higher education leadership. Before transitioning to academia, she spent a decade in the corporate sector, holding senior marketing and management positions with multinational corporations including Procter & Gamble, Nestlé, and British American Tobacco. This blend of international experience and corporate expertise has shaped her innovative approach to educational leadership.
The significance of this achievement extends beyond individual recognition. Women remain underrepresented in executive leadership positions across higher education globally, making Dr Kyriakou’s success an inspiration to aspiring academic leaders, particularly women and those from underrepresented backgrounds.
Congratulations to Dr Kyriakou on this well-deserved honour!
